Head Gardener – ‘au revoir’ Gerry Kelsey and ‘hello’ Natalie Meredith

The park’s much treasured Head Gardener of the park, Gerry Kelsey, is leaving on 22nd March to take up the post of Head Gardener at the Olympic Park.

Gerry Kelsey

We wish Gerry well in this exciting new role. Gerry has been a key stalwart in supervising the Friends’ monthly ‘Dig the Park’ efforts.

Gerry forged an excellent working relationship with the Friends, becoming a friend along the way too, so a visit to the Olympic Park to catch up with him will be on the agenda before too long.

Natalie Meredith

Natalie Meredith, who will be familiar to many of you already, takes over as interim Head Gardener following Gerry’s departure. This is a remarkable achievement for Natalie, who joined the park as an apprentice in 2012. She has always been supportive of the Friends and we wish her well and look forward to working with her.
