Overview
We are bringing back the popular dog show at The Giant Teddy Bears’ Picnic 2026 so bring your four-legged friends AND your teddies this year!
The event is free to watch but we are asking for a small donation of £4 to enter your dog into a category.
This goes towards the running of the dog show, and any profit will be donated to the wonderful animal welfare charity Mayhew.
Each entrant will receive a goody bag and there are rosettes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize in each category.

Frequently asked questions
Can I enter my dog more than once or more than one dog? Yes! A maximum of 3 categories and one dog in each category. Each entry must be paid for separately via the PayPal links above.
How do I get there? The car park at College Gate entrance will be open on Sunday 10th May 2026 and costs £5.10 per hour, but parking is limited to 120 spaces and likely to fill very quickly. There will be parking restrictions around the park so please use public transport, walk or cycle to the event if you can!
Blue badge holders will, of course, be welcome to use the car park as normal for free and there are spaces beside the Francis Peek Centre.
The nearest train stations are North Dulwich (15 minutes’ walk), West Dulwich (15 minutes’ walk) and Herne Hill (20 minutes’ walk).

What else is on at the event? Bring your teddies, picnic rugs, families and friends to join us for this fun event ‘The Giant Teddy Bears Picnic’ starting at 12.00! KidzFun will be operating the fun fair (charges for rides), there will be a theatre show, a stage featuring local choirs, bands and dance acts and a parade. We have Donna Maria’s maypole too! A variety of food and drink stalls will tempt you too!
This is a free, outdoor event aimed at families and carers with young children, in association with Southwark Council. More information will be available at Events
